To honor our military men and women, Shawano High School students and staff assembled at SCMS for a Veteran's Day helicopter flyover. Students were also excited to speak with area veterans and thank them for their service! 🚁🇺🇸 #ShawanoProud

Twenty-five students were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society! 🌟 SCMS is proud to announce the first-ever NJHS induction ceremony at Shawano Community Middle School. The ceremony indicated the continuing emphasis on excellence that is represented by our school and community. Throughout the year, members of our chapter serve as role models for other students and hold the pillars of the organization in high regard - scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Members of the Shawano Community Middle School were presented with a Cellcom Green Gift for $1,000! The grant, which was made possible through a cell phone recycling program, was presented to seventh grade class officers and student council members. The grant, written by middle school staff member Connie Rauterkus, will be used toward the seventh-grade class trip to Trees for Tomorrow in May 2024. #ShawanoProud

The second annual Trunk-or-Treat had over 450 trick-or-treaters on October 30th! 🍬🍭🍫 Twenty-one groups participated in giving out candy. Thank you to everyone for coming out and braving the cold weather. BIG Thank you to Miss Knueppel and Miss Zurakowski for all their work behind the scenes in setting up this successful event! 🎃 #ShawanoProud

Members of the SCHS sources of strength group donated 24 frozen lasagnas to SAM25 to demonstrate generosity, one of the 8 sources of strength. Lasagnas were assembled by SCHS students as part of their wellness day. 👍👏 Thank you to Charlie’s County Market, Thrivent Financial, and doctors from Thedacare for donating to this cause! 🍝 #ShawanoProud

Down, Set, Hut! 🏈 Students at Hillcrest participated in our annual Hawks Football event! The football players from the high school came over and ran fun football stations for all of the students in Mr. Strobel and Mrs. Tomow's PE classes. It was a lot of fun for everyone involved! 😄 #ShawanoProud
