Teamwork makes the dream work! π
Eighth grade students in Math I are learning the importance of teamwork! Students participated in activities where they had to work together to solve various tasks and problems. They had so much fun while doing so! #ShawanoProud
First graders in Ms. Lade's class started exploring some of their math workplaces with cubes, dominoes, and pattern blocks! π #ShawanoProud
Mrs. Sperberg's first grade class at Hillcrest had a great first week of school! π
They read the story First Day Jitters and did a craft to tell how they felt on the first day. They also read The Crayon Box that Talked and colored a crayon their favorite color and wrote what makes them "unique"!
Check out their amazing creations below! ππ«Άβ¬οΈ #ShawanoProud

The Shawano Hawks Volleyball team participated in the Friendship Tournament hosted by the Kewaskum School District at JustAGame Fieldhouse. Last year, we brought a very young varsity team to the tournament and came home with first place medals in the silver bracket. This year we came home as the overall winner with a 9-0 record! ππ€©π
We defeated two tough programs in Royall and Cedarburg twice; once each in the opening round of pool play and then again in the semifinals and finals of the gold bracket. Cedarburg was the championship match opponent, whom we defeated 2-0. In set 2, we came back from an 11-17 deficit to win 25-23 to take the gold! Royall is currently ranked #7 in the state for Division 4 according to Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association and Cedarburg is a Division 1 opponent.
π Coral Cook was our ace and kill leader on the weekend with 17 aces and 53 kills.
π Amelia Klement led our offense in the setter position with 143 assists.
π Teagen Thompson had a great weekend in her first tournament as libero with 69 digs.
π Leah Nordin and Abby Bystol were huge at the net all weekend with 48 kills and 17 blocks, and 50 kills and 11 blocks, respectively.
Way to go! π #ShawanoProud

The Shawano Cross-Country Team opened their 2023 season by hosting Seymour for a dual meet! π
Both teams competed hard and turned in some solid performances. What made the meet even more special was the camaraderie and sportsmanship between the two teams. After the races were completed, the two teams joined together for a photo πΈ and a pizza π dinner.
Congratulations to Coach Stomberg and Coach Wojta for promoting the spirit of sportsmanship! π #ShawanoProud
